The Alcohol Reset

The Alcohol Reset is a sixty-six day guided, mindful break from alcohol, designed to help gray area drinkers reevaluate, reshape, and repair their relationship with alcohol. Broken into bite-sized, daily lessons and daily mood and wellness tracking, this thougthfully designed curriculum will give readers:

  • A science-based understanding of alcohol and addiction.

  • Control over habitual drinking.

  • A healthier mindset toward alcohol.

  • A path toward a better relationship with alcohol for life.

The Alcohol Reset was created by Shift Mindset, a team made up of addiction studies professor Dr. Melissa Dittberner and writer/professor Amelia Skinner Saint. Together the two crafted The Alcohol Reset to meet the needs of gray area drinkers who are looking for a path toward healthier alcohol use that might not necessarily require lifelong cessation. The Alcohol Reset is perfect for those who want to curb and control their drinking, but aren't ready to swear off booze forever.

The Alcohol Reset is NOT a substitute for addiction treatment, and is not suitable for those who are at risk for acute withdrawal symptoms. If you drink four or more standard drinks per day, drink to the point of intoxication four or more times per week, or have a hard time not drinking for an entire day, The Alcohol Reset may not be right for you. Consult your physician if you think you may be at risk for acute withdrawal symptoms.
